Jr. Worship

elemJr. Worship is our Sunday morning ministry for kids in Kindergarten thru Fifth Grade.  Kids will have the opportunity to learn to worship God through music, prayer, age-appropriate Bible teaching and application activities.

Elementary-aged kids check in at the Chapel Kids desk in the foyer then enter the Seminar Room for worship thru music and prayer.  Kids in Kindergarten thru Second Grade are then dismissed to the Kidz Zone at the end of the Elementary wing and kids in Third thru Fifth Grade stay in the Seminar Room for worship thru Bible teaching and application activities. If you are visiting for the first time, please feel free to join your child until you and your child feel comfortable.

At the end of the worship service, we ask parents to pick up their children from their classes before joining others for refreshments & fellowship in the foyer.

Worship thru Music

We have a small group of teens and upper elementary kids that lead the elementary kids in worship. This worship team meets one evening each month to learn what it means to be a lead worshiper and to prepare for the upcoming month.

Worship thru Bible Teaching

We currently use the Life Bible Study curriculum called Treasuring Christ to teach children the narrative of the gospel as it unfolds from Genesis to Revelation. This year, the kids will learn about the Prophets and Writings of the Old Testament. Through themes such as Blessing & Betrayal, Kings & Prophets, The Redeemer Lives, and Hope Amid Hardship, our prayer is that children will understand:

  • God created all things perfect & for His glory (Genesis 1:31)
  • Mankind chose to trust themselves instead of trusting God (Genesis 3:1-13)
  • God promised a deliverer who would crush the serpent, and one day restore creation to perfection (Genesis 3:15)
  • Jesus Christ was the promised deliverer who defeated Satan, and delivers mankind from bondage to sin (Hebrews 2:14-15)

Worship with Your Family

On months that have five Sundays, we set aside the fifth Sunday as Chapel Family Sunday.  The worship services are designed so kids have the opportunity to participate in different aspects of worship -- singing, giving of our tithes and offerings, taking communion, and learning from God's Word -- with their families.
